Say team A's win price is 2.50 decimal, 3/2 fractional, +150 American. On a ৳500 bet, if team A wins you get back ৳1,250 (৳750 profit plus your ৳500 stake); if team A loses, the full ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B (Favourite)
Team B's win price is 1.25 decimal, 1/4 fractional, −400 American. American minus odds mean how much you need to stake to win ৳100. On a ৳500 bet, if team B wins you get back ৳625 in total — meaning the profit is only ৳125.
Live In-Play — Bet While the Game Is On
When you access live betting after a match has started, you can see how odds shift with every ball. When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds rise (they are seen as less likely to win) and the bowling team's odds shorten. In the same way, a big over in the powerplay or a large hit in the death overs can change the market in an instant.
In Test cricket, the morning session differs from the afternoon. If a dew-soaked pitch or overcast conditions help the bowlers, the batting team's odds can change immediately. This is what makes live markets in cricket different from other sports — each over is a new event.
